Developing players
see our
"Ongoing Intermediate Class" schedule on the left.

We've created more bridge players than any other club in the country.
Our unique seven lesson beginner program includes a combination of semi-private and group lessons.
Our common sense approach to learning has become the industry model.

Our all new Fall semi-private lesson series starts the week of September 20th.
(Thursday evening classes are held  at our East 64-65 Street location)
Monday  or Thursday afternoons at 1:30pm.
 Tuesday through Friday evenings.
Saturday mornings at 10:30am

The Beginner Program Includes:

Five semi-private and two group lessons,
the best teachers,
a great beginner book,
and refreshments.
The cost is $200.

We think nothing beats

OUR BEGINNER'S SEMI-PRIVATE GROUPS
of only
three, four, or five students
per instructor.

Or, for much the same price,
if you prefer larger classes of 20 to 40 students,
you can always try the "Y", another club, or an adult education center.

For more information, to register, or to inquire about  private lessons please contact:

About Our Two Clubs

The Manhattan West is one of the oldest, largest and most beautifully designed clubs in the country. We offer a complete schedule of duplicate games, practice sessions, group and private lessons for players of all levels. We are the largest evening club in the country, and have been, for many years.

During our thirty plus years Jesus (Zeus) Arias, my partner, and I have probably been responsible for developing more bridge players than anyone else. Two of our former students are now among the strongest competitors in the world. More than half our evening players started with us as beginners.

Everyone is welcome. There are no membership fees at either of our clubs. The card fees for afternoon games, which include a fabulous buffet style lunch, are $22. Evening card fees are $18 ($20 for dinner games). Half price for students (under 25 years of age and full time). For frequent players we offer a wide range of Specials .

Our sister club, the Manhattan East, offers weekday afternoon duplicates with the developing player in mind. There are half hour lectures before each game and lunches on par with, or some say, better than Manhattan West's. The card fee is $19. Private and semi-private lessons are available here.

Hope to see you soon at one of our clubs.

Yours truly,
